Image Grabbing is Tarek, who was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1965. From an early age on he took a special interest in filmmaking. After finishing his grammar school he went to study Polish Linguistics and film aesthetics at the University of Gdansk, Poland. There he also became fluent in Polish and tried out the Film Academy of Lodz for a short period of time. He returned to Hungary in the early nineties and started to work in the film industry. Since 1995 he has regularly visited The Netherlands and in the summer of 1999 he has started his own production/postproduction company there named Image Grabbing where he has his own Avid/FCP based editing facilities.

He is director, editor and producer of award winning shorts, features and documentaries.
